OUR PLANS FOR COVID-19.
Everything is uncertain. Our plan is to focus on what we do best.
March 20, 2020
Wow. I don't think any of us foresaw the times we're facing.
In just a few days, the world has become confusing, overwhelming, and terrifying.
We all have so many questions. How long will this last? Will we get sick? What happens if we get sick? How do we keep those around us safe? Do I need to hoard toilet paper?
Throughout it all, Rachel and I keep asking ourselves one central question; how can we help? During this time, what can our small business do to impact the world ? Is it making masks? Is it sharing joyful moments or tips on how to get through this? How can we keep our community safe and our team and business secure? Please reach out and let us know what you want to see from us!
As a small business, it’s going to be hard. There are just three of us (fulltime) working behind the scenes to make all happen day to day, without help from fancy financial backers. Our sales are what support Ateyo and our team.
As we sit and work from home, we're thinking about all of you also at home, feeling the same crazy stuff. For now, we will focus on what we do best — providing comfort! We think a cozy Zip-Up or super comfy work-from-home Sitters will, if nothing else, offer a little comfort and warmth as we all collectively sort out our changing world.
So, for the foreseeable future, we’ll be focusing on getting comfort into as many hands as possible. Whether that's helping you send loved ones a comfy package, working with companies to send out Sitters to their WFH teams, or coming up with innovative initiatives to help our changing world.
Here’s a few things we're doing to respond:
> Orders will continue to be fulfilled! Additionally, we have the capability to customize our products as well as send out bulk orders.
> Rachel and I will be spending more time on social media reaching out to our community to check in on them and see if we can help.
> We will be partnering with other businesses on charity efforts to support COVID-19.
> We won’t be downsizing. We may be a small team, but we’re committed to making it through this without sacrificing our team members (including contractors).
> We will continue to support other small businesses around us. For us, that means partnering with local people to manufacture, artists to customize, and other small businesses to create a ‘comfort box’.
How you can help us:
> Spread the word! Tell your friends, family, coworkers about our great WFH pants, the Sitters. Know a journalist or an influencer? Ask them to feature Ateyo in any relevant ways.
> Shop with us! Buy for yourself or send a care package to a loved one (we can include a custom hand written note). We now offer gift cards!
> Engage with us! Like, share, follow us @ateyo_
> Partner with us! If you're a company, streamer, or individual, let's figure out how we can all work together. Maybe it's a charity stream? A care package sent to your team to let them know your thinking of them.
Our offer of comfort might sound small, but in an uncertain world, where you're isolated from normal routine and standard comforts, sometimes it’s exactly what you need. We’re here to chat — reach out if you want to collaborate, just want to
talk, or need any help.
